Terms of engagement
How we scope, invoice, hand over and end an engagement — stated before you sign, not after.
Scope of work
Every engagement runs against a written scope agreed before work starts. Anything outside that scope is quoted as a change request rather than absorbed silently or billed by surprise.
Payment
Fixed-scope projects are invoiced per completed milestone. Retainers are invoiced monthly in advance. Payment terms are stated on each invoice.
Intellectual property
On final payment you own the source code, the repository, the infrastructure accounts and the documentation, outright. We retain no licence over your system and impose no hosting lock-in.
Warranty
We fix defects in what we built free of charge for thirty days after launch. That covers our own bugs; it does not cover new features or changes you request afterwards.
Confidentiality
We will sign your NDA, or ours, before the first call if you want one. Client work is never published as a case study without written permission, and NDA clients are described anonymously.
Liability
Our liability on any engagement is limited to the fees paid for it. We carry no liability for indirect or consequential loss.
Ending an engagement
Retainers end on thirty days' notice from either side. Fixed-scope projects end when the final milestone is accepted. On either path you receive full handover — repository, infrastructure, runbook and documentation.
