How it was built
Opening an account required a branch visit and manual document checking. The bank wanted remote onboarding without loosening its KYC obligations.
Document capture and OCR, face match against the submitted ID, liveness checks, and integration with the core banking system so an approved application became a real account without manual re-entry.
Django application with a separate inference service for the vision models, a review queue for anything below confidence threshold, and an audited integration with the core banking API.
