How it was built
The counter had to keep taking orders when the internet dropped, and sync cleanly when it came back.
A Windows application with local SQLite storage, defined conflict rules, and REST sync to the central Django system.
Local-first writes to SQLite, an outbox table, and idempotent replay to the server on reconnect.
